Step back in time to the 1800s and visit our Wild West Town with more than 100 Miniature Farm Animals to pet and feed.

Take a walking tour and visit a real pioneer village that includes a Bank, a Saloon, a Jail and a Trading Post with snacks and souvenirs. As you tour the Town, you'll be able to meet the Miniature Cows, Miniature Sheep, Miniature Horses, and Miniature Donkeys. Behind the Wild West Town, explore the Mine Shaft where the Miniature Goats live. Make sure to stop by the School House where Miniature Chickens and Miniature Turkeys roost. In the back of the School House you'll find the Miniature Potbellied Pigs in a spat over food. Finally, venture to the Livery Stable where the kids will be able to take a pony ride.

For school and church groups or homeschool groups planning a field trip, please call for special group rates. We require reservations for large groups and a $50 nonrefundable deposit is necessary to hold those reservations. The deposit is deducted from your total on the day you visit. Please make reservations as early as possible. Space is limited and fills quickly.

We can customize an educational program to fit your curriculum. So whether you're looking for a lesson about pioneer living or about farming and farm animals, our Wild West Town classroom and our experienced staff have just what you need to engage children and spark their curiosity about their environment and the relationship between animals and our survival.

We provide a teacher's guide and activity sheets that have been designed to help generate ideas for classroom instruction about pioneer living and agriculture. We encourage you to print these materials and discuss them with your students before exposing them to the hands-on experience at Tanglewood.

Picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to bring picnic blankets.
