Our Traveling Barnyard Petting Zoo Packages include hand raised, friendly miniature farm animals. Tanglewood Farm is world renowned for our national champion miniatures and raises only purebred registered stock.
Tanglewood Farm has been in business here in Georgia since 1993. We are fully licensed and insured and have been involved with raising farm animals for more than 50 years. Our experience and high standards truly set us apart. We never cut corners when it comes to health certification, licensing and insurance.
Here at Tanglewood Farm, we take the health and safety of our customers and our animals very seriously. Cleanliness – both at the farm and on the road – is paramount to keep our animals and customers healthy and safe from disease. The animals are housed in pristine conditions and are regularly bathed and groomed. When the animals are traveling, they are protected from the elements. We have a fully enclosed trailer with lights, air and heat. Our animals are hand-raised to be gentle and they are always properly restrained for our customers’ safety. All of our animals have documentation showing that they are up-to-date on all required immunizations and health certificates.
Before you hire an animal entertainer, ask the following questions:
- Does the company have the required documents (such as a USDA license and a negative EIA document for ponies and horses) required in order to use animals for public entertainment?
- Does the entertainer provide health records and is he or she current with vaccinations and worming for the animals?
- Does the entertainer provide insurance? If so, does it include liability, insurance for vehicles, property damage and personal injury?
- Does the entertainer provide a first aid kit and hand sanitizer?
Our Traveling Barnyard Petting Zoo Packages include hand-raised, friendly miniature farm animals. Tanglewood Farm is world renowned for our national champion miniature foundation bloodlines. We raise only purebred registered stock and are one of the nation’s largest breeders of such a wide variety of true Class A miniature livestock. We are members of local, national and international associations (See Affiliations).
We have the following Traveling Barnyard Packages available:
Basic Traveling Barnyard Petting Zoo Package
With our Basic Traveling Barnyard Petting Zoo Package, we bring an assortment of miniature farm animals for a curbside event. We arrive with a 50′ truck/trailer combination with animals inside our modified trailer which has living quarters for the animals. Our trailer is equipped with electricity, lights, heat, air and water. Our farm animals travel inside the safest and most comfortable accommodations available on the road today. We are the only animal entertainers that provide such first class accommodations for our farm friends and our customers. Once we arrive at your event, children and adults are allowed inside our Traveling Barnyard Trailer to meet the clean and friendly mini farm animals. We bring milk bottles for the children to bottle feed our babies and food for the children to feed the other miniatures. We also provide brushes to brush the animals. The cost of this package is $400 plus tax per hour. There is a mileage charge for any of our Barnyard Packages of $3 plus tax per mile one way from our facility to your party location. Minimum mileage charge is $50 plus tax.
This package includes 6-8 animals:
- Miniature African Pygmy Goats or Miniature Nigerian Dwarf Goats
- Miniature Babydoll Sheep or Miniature Shetland Sheep
- Miniature Horses
- Miniature Donkeys
We have Miniature Jersey Cows available to add to any of the Traveling Barnyard Packages. (There are only 200 registered Miniature Jerseys in the world.) We charge an additional $50 plus tax per hour to add a Miniature Cow.
Deluxe Traveling Barnyard Petting Zoo Package
This Package includes the animals in the Basic Traveling Barnyard Petting Zoo Package but instead of animals staying inside our Traveling Barnyard Trailer, we set up fencing and awnings and the animals are displayed outside next to the trailer. The cost of this package is $450 plus tax for the first hour and $400 plus tax each additional hour. There is a mileage charge for any of our Barnyard Packages of $3 plus tax per mile one way from our facility to your location. Minimum mileage charge is $50 plus tax.
We have Miniature Jersey Cows available to add to any of the Traveling Barnyard Packages. (There are only 200 registered Miniature Jerseys in the world.) We charge an additional $50 plus tax per hour to add a Miniature Cow.
We also have a full size Welsh Riding Pony available to add to the Deluxe or Portable Packages for an additional $400 plus tax per hour.
Portable Traveling Barnyard Petting Zoo Package
This Package includes the animals in the Basic Traveling Barnyard Petting Zoo but instead of animals remaining inside our Traveling Barnyard Trailer or using the Traveling Barnyard Trailer as a backdrop to set up our fencing, we will transport our miniature farm animals to a pre-approved area for an event. This Package is portable for an inside or outside event. Our miniature farm animals are either set up in an attractive miniature corral where children and adults can see, pet and feed them or we can bring each animal on leashes to a pre-approved secure area. We also place Educational Signs about each type of animal so visitors can learn about them. The cost of this package is $500 plus tax for the first hour and $400 plus tax each additional hour. There is a mileage charge for any of our Barnyard Packages of $3 plus tax per mile one way from our facility to your location. Minimum mileage charge is $50 plus tax.

Traveling Pony Package
With this Package we bring a full size Welsh Riding Pony for the children to ride. We also supply approved safety helmets for the children to wear. The cost of this package is $400 plus tax per hour. There is a mileage charge for any of our Barnyard Packages of $3 plus tax per mile one way from our facility to your location. Minimum mileage charge is $50 plus tax.
Traveling Pony + Mini Package
With this Package we bring a full size Welsh Riding Pony for the children to ride. We also supply approved safety helmets for the children to wear. We also bring a Miniature Horse for kids to feed, brush and decorate with ribbons, bows and dress-up costumes. The cost of this package is $450 plus tax per hour. There is a mileage charge for any of our Barnyard Packages of $3 plus tax per mile one way from our facility to your location. Minimum mileage charge is $50 plus tax.
For school or church events, we can customize any Package to include educational discussion based on QCC standards and focus your program on topics ranging from life cycles and communication to food and fiber animals.
We offer discounts if you book half-day or full-day Packages.
The following applies to all of our Traveling Packages:
- Minimum charges for any Traveling Package is equal to the first hour charge.
- The first hour charge is required for a reservation deposit. Half-day or full day Packages require 50% deposit.
- There are no refunds of reservation deposits. However, we do reschedule to an alternative rain/snow date in case of inclement weather.
- There is a mileage charge for any of our Barnyard Packages of $3 plus tax per mile one way from our facility to your location. Minimum mileage charge is $50 plus tax.
- Additional charges for additional time will be due on the day of the event.
